Champagne Jacquart Signature Rosé in Gift Box Sparkling Wine – A fresh, fruity champagne, salmon pink in colour, with a fairly intense, persistent mousse. The bouquet is medium-bodied and displays lovely complexity, with aromas of quince, apricot, peach and strawberries, followed by exotic fruits such as pineapple and lychee. A delicate yeasty note rounds it off. On the palate, the champagne has a pleasantly full mousse and is slightly sweet on the first impression. Its lovely acidity immediately balances this out, and the overall impression is harmonious and full-bodied. The finish again reveals plenty of clear fruit character, followed by a medium-length finish.

The region
With its comparatively cool climate, Champagne in northeastern France was the first region in the world to produce sparkling wine in large quantities and is now synonymous with the highest product quality. Only sparkling wines from Champagne may be called champagne; like the wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy, they are a global benchmark. The roots of the vigorous vines penetrate deep into the soil, which consists of calcareous sediments and thus provides optimal conditions for water retention. The best sites are on the slopes of the hills that characterise the landscape. While a wide range of grape varieties used to be grown in Champagne, today the main varieties are Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.
