Jermann Capo Martino Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT 2022 White Wine – It has a beautiful, bright and lustrous golden-yellow color. An intense and complex bouquet with aromas of ripe local and tropical fruits and wilted flowers, with a hint of vanilla. Apple, banana, hazelnut, broom and passionflower stand out in particular. On the palate, it is velvety and perfectly balanced, with delicate harmony and a long finish.

The region
Friuli, in Italy’s far northeast, borders Austria and Slovenia. It is one of Italy’s finest white wine regions, and a growing number of young, up-and-coming winemakers are making a splash abroad with their outstanding wines. For centuries, the influences of three peoples and cultures have come together here: Italian, Germanic and Slavic, with the Celts already growing grapes in the region. The relatively mild climate, shaped by the nearby sea and the protection of the Alps, contributes to abundant harvests. The loose, nutrient-poor soils covering the former seabed also contribute to the wines’ mineral freshness. Here, vines can easily send their roots deep into the earth and absorb many minerals, resulting in high-quality wines.
