The fruit flavours are particularly intense on the palate; the wine is fresh, soft and rounded, with supple tannins and a harmonious structure.

About Locos por el Vino

When top winemakers join forces, great things happen. That is certainly the case with the wonderful wines from Locos Por El Vino (Crazy About Wine), whose grapes grow in young, newly planted vineyards in prime locations and are crafted by their creators into fruity yet complex, modern and elegant taste experiences. Chris Ringland and José Miguel San Martin, two winemakers behind the acclaimed wines of Alto Moncayo, have embarked on another project with Locos Por El Vino.

The region

The northeastern Spanish region of Aragón encompasses the broad Ebro Valley and is dominated in the north by the Pyrenees, which supply water to the dry valley. This location gives the wines considerable potential. Small, outstanding wineries with a strong focus on quality are making Aragón, with its four DO zones of Cariñena, Calatayud, Campo de Borja and Somontano, increasingly interesting to wine lovers. The main grape varieties grown here are Garnacha and Tempranillo.
