Nativ Campania Rosso Amabile IGP Rue de Passi 2020 – Bold blackberry and blackcurrant aromas, with a hint of dried fruit, are followed by notes of cocoa, chocolate and cloves, characterising this garnet-red, fruity wine. On the palate, it is fresh, with smooth tannins; the intense fruit is supported by a rounded, extremely soft and very well-balanced structure.

The Region

As far back as 2,000 years ago, the Romans knew the potential of the area around Mount Vesuvius on the Tyrrhenian coast: grapevines thrive here like nowhere else in the fertile volcanic soils, rich in minerals, calcium carbonate and ash. The Mediterranean climate, influenced by the nearby sea, the sheltering mountains and ample natural irrigation from the surrounding hills provide ideal conditions for viticulture. The main varieties grown here are the white Fiano and Greco and the red Aglianico. Aglianico has been grown here since Roman times; today, many wine enthusiasts and producers are rediscovering this ancient grape variety. And for good reason: these wines are full-bodied, aromatic, concentrated and complex, with a wealth of nuances and an elegant character.
