About Tenuta Sant’Antonio

Four brothers and a passion that originated in their father’s vineyards in San Zeno di Colognola ai Colli in Valpolicella, where the most famous Veronese wines are produced: Amarone, Valpolicella and Soave. Today, Tenuta Sant’Antonio is one of the most renowned wineries in Valpolicella and is primarily known for its powerful red wines – its Amarone is considered one of the best in the world. Since 1989, this traditional winery has produced excellent, highly awarded, top-quality wines that are extremely approachable despite their complexity, promising maximum drinking pleasure.

The Region

Veneto, as it is known locally, is one of Italy’s most popular wine regions, thanks in part to its major tourist hub, Venice – and one of the country’s three largest. Geographically, Veneto is extremely diverse: one-third of the region is covered by mountain ranges, while its central plain features extensive rice fields and a long stretch of coastline. Venetian wines are correspondingly varied. Stony, limestone-rich soil covered with red and brown earth provides the vines with excellent growing conditions, while the Alps, whose foothills border the extensive northern area, protect the region from harsher northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains along the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly grown; excellent white wines come from the cooler areas, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
