About Villa Sandi
Nestled in the green hills of the Italian province of Treviso lies the magnificent Villa Sandi. Built in the Palatine style in 1622, it has always been home to an appreciation for the good, stylish life. This high standard is also reflected in its wine production. The Glera grapes come from exclusive vineyards, and Villa Sandi is the only company to perfect the single fermentation method across its entire production, resulting in even fresher, high-quality Proseccos. This is evident in its numerous award-winning, premium products, which are appreciated by connoisseurs in 106 countries worldwide.
The Region
Veneto, as it is known in the local language, is one of Italy's most popular wine regions, thanks in part to its major tourist hub, Venice, and is one of the country's three largest. Geographically, Veneto is extremely diverse: on the one hand, a third of the region is covered by mountain ranges, while on the other, the central plain features extensive rice fields and a long stretch of coastline. Venetian wines are correspondingly varied. Stony, limestone-rich soils covered with red and brown earth provide the vines with excellent growing conditions, while the Alps, whose foothills border the vast northern area, protect the region from harsher Northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains along the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly grown, while the cooler areas produce excellent white wines, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
