About Villa Sandi
Nestled in the green hills of the Italian province of Treviso lies the magnificent Villa Sandi. Built in 1622 in the Palladian architectural style, a spirit of appreciation for a good, stylish life has always prevailed here. This high standard is also reflected in their wine production. The Glera grapes come from exclusive vineyards, and Villa Sandi is the only company to perfect the single fermentation method across its entire production to obtain even fresher, high-quality Proseccos. This is revealed in multi-award-winning, high-quality products that are appreciated by connoisseurs in 106 countries worldwide.
The Region
Veneto, with its tourist hotspot Venice, is one of Italy's most popular wine regions – and one of the three largest in the country. Geographically, Veneto is extremely diverse: one-third is covered by mountain ranges, while the region features extensive rice fields in the central plains and a large coastline. The Venetian wines are correspondingly varied. Stony and calcareous soil, covered with red and brown earth, offers good growing conditions for the vines, while the Alps, whose foothills border the vast area in the north, protect the region from harsher Northern European weather and ensure a balanced climate. In the warmer plains on the Adriatic coast, red grape varieties are predominantly grown; the cooler zones produce excellent white wines, the most famous of which is undoubtedly Prosecco.
